          Washington D.C.
                    The FBI labels Emma Goldman "the most dangerous woman in America" for her open endorsement                     of LGBT rights: "I regard it as a tragedy that people of differing sexual orientation find themselves                     proscribed in a world that has so little understanding of homosexuals...."

          Utah
                    Sodomy or “crime against nature” becomes illegal in Utah Territory. Sodomy was defined as anal                     intercourse, a felony punishable by 5 years in prison. hetero/homosexual oral sex added to sodomy                     statute.

          Oregon
                    The Oregon legislature enacts a new sterilization law that both eliminates the definition of “sexual                     perverts,” and eliminates any need for these “perverts” to show reproductive potential in order to be                     sterilized.

          Delaware
                    Delaware passes a law with a sentence of probation for persons convicted of “sodomy.”
